Background

A bit more
about me.

I’m Phil, a Senior AE and GTM advisor who thrives at the intersection of strategy, collaboration, and EQ. Sales became the natural home for this blend: partnering with teams, aligning outcomes, and building value that compounds.

Most things I'm proud of start with being curious, coachable, and persistent.

Where it Started

I grew up with high expectations and great examples. My dad came from small-town Pana, Illinois and became a self-made tech leader, eventually serving as CEO of Informix. My mom studied at UCLA, led marketing at IBM, and then brought that same level of excellence into raising me and my sister. With my dad traveling often, I spent most of my time with them, and somewhere in those years I absorbed something that has never left me: how you win matters just as much as winning itself.

I was a good student and lived on the soccer field. College came with bigger challenges than I expected, including a real bout with anxiety that forced me to step back and figure out what actually mattered to me. I left school and went to work, and that decision turned out to be one of the best I ever made.

The Proving Ground

My first real proving ground was Lozano's, one of the most respected car washes in the area. I started as a rep, worked long and exhausting hours, built a new sales team, created new product lines, and helped scale revenue from zero to multi-millions annually. Nobody handed me a playbook. I figured it out by doing the work, making mistakes, and learning faster than I thought possible. That is where I learned what it actually takes to build a revenue engine from scratch.

Back to School, Then into SaaS

After proving I could build something real, I decided to go back and finish what I started. I returned to Santa Clara University to deepen my understanding of business and graduated during the beginning of COVID before making the jump into B2B SaaS. The transition felt natural. The same fundamentals that worked at a car wash worked in software. Understand the buyer. Build trust. Solve real problems. Close.

Where I Am Now

Today I work as a Senior AE running full-cycle deals across SMB and mid-market, and as a GTM advisor helping founders and revenue teams build motions that actually work. I mentor reps and job seekers on interviews and execution. I partner with early-stage teams on focused GTM sprints and fractional support. And I publish playbooks and templates so that the systems I have built can help others move faster.

What I Care About

Trust and relationships before everything else.
More minds → better outcomes.
Success defined by purpose, not just numbers.
Showing up as a model, not just a metric.

Outside of Work

You will find me on a mountain trail, a ski slope, or the beach with good food nearby. I am a lifelong Manchester United fan, resilient by necessity and hopeful by nature. Since moving to LA I have built a network of hoopers with weekly runs at the local park and started a rec team, the Culver City Cherubs. We are still chasing our first title. Stay tuned.

If you are in West LA and like to hoop, hit me up. We will get some runs in.

If you are looking for a closer, GTM partner, or coach, let's talk.
