My Philosophy
Sales is a relationship, not a transaction
The best deals work the same way the best relationships do. Take the time to understand the person, listen with real curiosity, and guide rather than push. The decision is always theirs. Your job is to make it an easy one.
The fundamentals are the foundation, not the finish
Every great rep starts with the same framework. What makes them different is how they build on top of it. Learn the basics, then make them yours. That is where authenticity and effectiveness meet.
Build urgency, not pressure
Pressure comes from the seller's need. Urgency comes from the buyer's reality. If the pain is real and the cost of inaction is clear, urgency will show up naturally. Buyers can feel the moment a conversation stops being about them, and that is when trust breaks down. The best reps have the composure to say what needs to be said, even when it slows things down.
You learn by doing, not by watching
Experience teaches what theory can't. A playbook gives you structure but it can't teach you how to recover from a bad call, read the room when a deal starts to slip, or stay composed when the answer is not what you hoped for. Progress is not always clean. Some losses expose gaps in your process and awkward conversations make you sharper. Activity on the job taught me pattern recognition, honesty, resilience, and knowing how to pivot when things do not go according to plan.
